This Tampa Bay Bandits helmet was used during both the 1984 and 1985 seasons by tackle Dan Fike. Fike played for two years on this prominent team after dominating the college ranks as a tackle for the Florida Gators. The Bandits were coached by Steve Spurrier and were owned by actor Burt Reynolds. The team was part of the USFL and only played three full seasons. This helmet is a very rare one. The helmet is covered with scrapes and scratches. It is very clear to see the kind of hard hitting style in which Fike played. The back of the helmet has Fike's number of 73. Both sides of the helmet bear the Bandits logo. This is a great piece of Tampa Bay Bandits and USFL memorabilia.
